SharePoint Errors and Resolutions

Following are some of the errors that I encountered and resolutions:

Event-ID-6398

Resolution: If the error is occuring aroung 3 AM on SP server that does not have access to internet, CEIP (customer Experience Improvement Program) could be trying to contact CEIP server on the internet Disable CEIP at the farm level CA->System Settings->Configure Privacy Options and also disable in each web application including the SP Central Admin Web application

The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object ‘proc_putObjectTVP’, database ‘SharePoint_Config’, schema ‘dbo’.

Resolution:Give spserviceapps SPDataAccess permission to SharePoint_Config database.

Resolution:Ignore. Not an issue. As the file wasn’t included in 2016.

Resolution:Disable App State Update. CA->Monitoring-Timer Jobs->Review Job Definitions- Disable App State Update. This is require only if you have purchased or installed apps from the SharePoint Store and to make sure the apps are up to date and updates the app in the farm if required.

Description:

Errors:

The root of the certificate chain is not a trusted root authority.

Resolution:SP does not recognize the Exchange server self-signed certificate. Go to Exchange servcer export the Exchange servers’ self signed certificate from the MMC. Go to Central Amdinistration->Security->General Security->Manage Trust-> New, give the name, browse the Exchange self-signed certificate from above, keep all the setting to default and click on. Use the script to test if it works now. Validation script should return True.
